Králová, Helena ; Mahrová, Andrea (advisor) ; Vaňous, František (referee)
Title: Quality of life in renal transplant recipients and the possibilities of its affecting through different forms of intervention. Aims: 1) To evaluate quality of life in renal transplant recipients and compare it with that of the general population. 2) To analyze effects of a 6 months controlled intervention exercise program, special diet, combination of special diet and exercise program and control group on the health related quality of life and to compare results between groups. Methods: We studied a composite group of 21 patients (mean age 58,4 9,34 years) after renal transplantation. Patients were randomly divided into four groups, each group had different program, as described above. The assessment of the quality of life was performed twice, before and after six months of a regular intervention program. We used standardized questionnaires KDQOL-SFTM . We have also assessed the importance of individual dimensions of quality of life with questionnaire WHOQOL - 100. Results were analyzed using descriptive statistics, non-parametric Wilcoxon signed-rank test and non-parametric Kruskal Wallis test. Statistically significance was considered on p ≤ 0,05. Results: After the pre-test and evaluation of the quality of life we assessed, that from 8 dimensions there were 5 lower after the...
Comparison of the quality of life of persons diagnosed with intervertebral disc herniation in relation to surgical and conservative treatment
Miklovičová, Martina ; Majorová, Simona (advisor) ; Prokešová, Eva (referee)
Title: Comparison of the quality of life of persons diagnosed with intervertebral disc herniation in relation to surgical and conservative treatment. Objectives: The aim of the diploma thesis was the research and evaluation of the quality of life in patients with intervertebral disc lesion with and without surgery, assuming that both monitored groups will be treated with individual rehabilitation treatment. Methods: This research was carried out using a standardized Short Form 36 (SF - 36) questionnaire on quality of life based on health. The Czech version used corresponds to MUDr. Petra, Ph.D. (2000). The study was conducted at the Na Homolce hospital at the rehabilitation clinic, where appropriate respondents (n = 170) were selected for this research. The final results were divided into the respective age groups in both groups. Subsequently, a statistically significant deviation between the respective files was verified in each age group and therefore it can be said that there are no significant differences between the analyzed files. Effects: The average age of the respondents who underwent the surgery was 49.2 years, with the respondents treated conservatively at an average age of 47.6 years. In terms of total physical health (physical activity, physical limitation, physical pain, general...

Přibylová, Kristýna ; Háva, Petr (advisor) ; Mašková, Pavla (referee)
This work deals with effectiveness of coeliac disease management. It is a model case of chronic disease management. The analytical framework of this work is the multilevel Innovative Care for Chronic Conditions Framework. Crucial is the interaction between health care team that represents health care system, community partners and patients with their families. In the case of coeliac disease it is necessary to include also the role of representatives of market with gluten free products. The interaction of these participants takes place in wider political context, whose state influences this interaction fundamentaly and reflects so in final results - state of patients and quality of their live. Using the evaluation of the quality of life tool SF-36, it has been ascertained, that the quality of life of coealiac patients is lower in comparison with European standard of healthy population and that the causes of the problem have to be searched and systematically removed at all levels of the system of chronic health care. The findings validate the theoretic presumption, that the chronic health care is still considerably underestimated and that it does not reply to the needs of chronic ill patients, which reflects just on general quality of life.

Objectives: The aim of the diploma thesis was the research and evaluation of the quality of life in patients with intervertebral disc lesion with and without surgery, assuming that both monitored groups will be treated with individual rehabilitation treatment. Methods: This research was conducted using a standardized Short Form 36 (SF - 36) questionnaire on quality of life that is conditional to health. The study was conducted at Na Homolce Hospital in a rehabilitation clinic, where appropriate respondents (n = 117) were selected for this research. The group included 59 respondents who underwent surgery and 58 treated conservatively. The survey was attended by respondents aged 27-86. The final results were divided into both health, physical and psychological dimensions in both groups. Two-choice tests were used to compare. For all domains, the assumption of the normal distribution of the two compared selections was rejected, which precluded the use of the two-t-test. For domains where there was no assumption of homogeneity of scattering, the Mann-Whitney test was used to compare. For domains where the assumption of homogeneity was rejected, a Median...

UNIVERZITA KARLOVA V PRAZE FAKULTA TĚLESNÉ VÝCHOVY A SPORTU The effect of physical activity and nutrition interventions on physical fitness and quality of life during the first year after kidney transplantation Abstract of disertation Zpracovala: Mgr. Klára Švagrová Školitel: Prof. Ing. Václav Bunc, CSc. Školící pracoviště: Laboratoř sportovní motoriky Praha, 2012 ABSTRACT Kidney transplantation is the best known treatment of chronic kidney failure. However, it is often accompanied by a number of health complications. The transplantation itself positively affects both physical fitness and quality of life during the first year after the transplant surgery which are seriously diminished when compared to the healthy population. This improvement can be even enhanced by appropriate physical activity and nutrition interventions otherwise both the physical fitness and quality of life would start declining after the first post-transplant year again. The aim of this study was to confirm a positive effect of a long-term physical activity and nutrition interventions on health-related physical fitness and health-related quality of life in a representative sample of individuals in the first year after the kidney transplantation. At the same time it was fundamental to verify that the experimental trial can be...
